The Gift |
This is an original pastel on paper. This is the first pastel I ever did of a person. It’s a picture of Christ on the cross, but the focus is on his hand with the nail driven through it, representing the gift he gave us with his sacrifice. I had a vision of this picture in my head and felt like God wanted me to draw it. I haven’t taken any classes in drawing the human form (I didn’t even take art classes in college), so I prayed and asked God to help me draw this if that’s what He wanted me to do. The original is not for sale. However, prints are available on watercolor paper and canvas wrap. |
